Anyone can write “I’m looking for something serious”, choose a flattering photo and write a reassuring introduction. The problem is not that every profile is suspicious. The problem is that a profile alone cannot quickly distinguish genuine intention from simply being good at presenting oneself.
School rarely teaches us how to handle a lasting disagreement, talk about money without starting a war, share responsibilities, understand two families, cope with fatigue or express frustration without hurting each other.
Say what matters without humiliating; listen without immediately preparing a defence.
Understand that disagreement is not necessarily proof of incompatibility.
Move from “what I want” to “what we want to build together”.
